Yup, she is the one in the photo below and she is back. She has now turned into one spoiled pup! She thought she was going to doggie daycare today but she ended up over here at my house. What a bad day for her to come.....rain, howling wind and thunder. Heck she didn't care. I did, I went and hid when the thunder occurred. We didn't get to play outside very much because of the weather. Maybe next time we can. Rancho Cordova is going to have a new dog park so maybe we can go over there and play if dad will take us......hint, hint!

Today was my lucky day....got to go to the dog park. The regular park where I go was closed for renovations so mom and dad took me to another. Not many dogs there but a few came while I was enjoying myself.

Devin came back today and I don't think he likes me. He started to cry and mom said it was probably his sore ear or else he was missing his mom. Mom gave him a bottle and he settled right down for a little nap. I don't know why those people don't get a cow. He drinks faster than I ever could. We could share the milk because I like it too.

I heard that Donovan decided his new haircut was not quite right and decided to do a little trimming himself. I'm with you man, those haircuts are never quite like you would like them but you have to be careful with those razors. Can you just see me with no ear? Same thing could have happened to you and then you would have to wear a ski cap all the time. Tell your mom that maybe Roxy could be a service dog and come in the house and walk around with you so you don't get in to any more trouble.

Mom took her camera and went to Lowe's today. It is one of the few stores that has not closed around Rancho. She went in there amongst the potted plants and took pictures. Why? What is she going to do with them? Maybe make cards? Send to Hallmark? Cover the walls? I just don't get it!!!

OK, what is this thing? Is it to suck squirrels out of the backyard or what? For some unforeseen reason it is in the house and I hate it. Mom thinks it is neat and she keeps chasing me with it. If she keeps doing that I may be sucked into that tank and no one will know that I am missing. I saw the dirt in that thing and it does not look pretty. I took it upon myself to bite it a couple of times, that did nothing. It kept coming right at me. I think I saw one of these monster machines at Philip's house. I wonder if that is what happened to their cat. She totally disappeared!

Mom says that one of the teachers (Debbie) at her school is leaving after being there for several years. They are all very sad to hear this. I myself even know the lady since at one time I ran off from Andria's house and she caught me and brought me back. Lucky for me I will still get to see her since she lives close to Andria.

This week has been crazy at SJV. Lots of things happening. Mix & match day, A basketball game between faculty and students, a presentation by Kaiser about healthy choices. Tomorrow is randparents' Day. They also had the Book Fair which always bring in a crowd. I wish things were this exciting around the house. No such luck!

Today was Open House at SJV. I was not allowed to go dad put me in the car and off we went to the dog park. Lucky for us it did not rain today so I got to play for quite awhile before I had to go back home.

Not much happened on Sunday so mom went outside and took a few pictures of the only flowers we have left. The frost got to most of them so there will be a lot of replanting.

The sun was out on Saturday but everyone at home had colds but dad said, "Let's take Gertie to the dog park!" so off we went! Lots of dogs there, mostly large ones. Some friendly and some not so friendly. Here are a few pictures mom took including a girl who looked more like a dog with fuzzy and a man who looked like he had had too many snacks. Never could figure if he had brought a dog with him or not. If the photos are too small click on the photo and it will expand for you.

OK, mom went and done it.....she bought this birdfeeder and put it in the backyard. She did not buy the right kind of food and got some with raisins. Well, those squirrels went for it. Dove right in like dumpster divers and pulled all the seed out. Not buying that kind of seed again. They made a horrible mess but I had a lot of fun trying to catch the squirrels.

Saturday was Christmas at Phil & Patty's house and I was unable to attend. Mom had too many gifts in the car so that left no room for me. We had lots of good food and the kids enjoyed their presents although mom may be in trouble for the space craft that she gave Alex. She did not realize that it made a "Out of this world" noise. I bet it has lost it's batteries by now. Donovan got a guitar and gave us his rendition of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" several times. Ana and Amanda were happy with their Webkins and played with them all evening. Alex and Dominic were into their Pokeman characters and Addison was busy enjoying food and crawling around. Vinny got a new tricycle and was trying to learn how to ride it. I'm sure it won't be long before he takes off and mom or dad have to run after him. Devin was home sick with "Pinkeye" and I've heard he has also mastered crawling. Well that's it for now...everyone is back to work and daycare this week. We'll see what happens next!

They're Back!!!

I've been gone for over a week. I went to Chris and Angela's house for a great week of "Doggie Daycare"! No one told me there would be other dogs over there. I've never had so much fun. I even got to sleep on the beds which mom never lets me do, she makes me go to my own bed. Santa came and left me some toys but I was a kind dog and shared with the other dogs. I am glad to be home and I think the squirrels missed me. Mom refilled the bird feeder so the blue jays and squirrels will be at that in the morning. If I am lucky I might be able to catch one. Have a Happy New Year and stay home where it is warm and toasty. That is what I will be doing.

I'm there, right on the corner of the family Christmas card. I got top billing...right in the middle of the ornament. Mom said she could not leave me out because I am always around, good or bad! I think I look pretty cute myself. Mom has only gotten two comments on the cards so maybe they are a bit much for some people. On the other hand it might exhaust some people thinking of running around with all 8 of those kids. Actually I have a good time with them. They are much more energetic than my parents who just throw balls and snacks at me. The snacks I must say are quite good. Especially those "Beggan' Strips" that mom gets me sometimes. They probably aren't too great on my waistline so I will have to get a little more exercise. I wonder what Santa is going to bring me? Mom and Dad will be gone and I will be at Angela and Chris's house for the holidays. Maybe they will bring me a new collar from Disney World. I wonder if there are such things as Mickey collars? A new leash to match would be good also. OK, time for my snack, see ya later!!!!!

Yesterday was a great day for me. I got to go to my favorite place in town the dog park. Lots of my friends were there playing. Yesterday mom and dad went to the Aerospace Museum and then came home, let me out and then took off again. This time they went out to dinner with the Avila group for mom and Rudy's birthdays. Here are some pictures of the food they had. Seems the boys were having a bit of trouble with the cheese in their items. That sundae Dominic had looks pretty good to me too. I wonder why dogs aren't allowed in all these places. I would sure like to go.
